Gemstone: Amazonite – Echoing the deep verdigris colours of the Amazon River, Amazonite brings truth, strength and courage. The feldspar stones’ calming vibrations harmonise masculine and feminine energies, and encourage healthy boundaries. Sourced from Peru, Amazonite is named after the rich Cyan hues of the Amazon river that reflect the translucent blue-green tones of the semi-precious gemstone. A member of the feldspar family, Amazonite is formed in igneous rocks of the deep sea that have cooled at a slow rate. Amazonite ranks 6/6.5 on the Mohs hardness scale.
