Emily Snadden

Welcome to the botanically inspired world of Emily Snadden. Based in Tasmania, Emily is a formally trained gold and silversmith whose distinctive style is defined by intricate detail, refined craftsmanship, and a deep connection to the natural world.

Her collections draw on the rich landscapes of Tasmania, featuring native flora such as Nothofagus gunnii, Leatherwood, and Eucalyptus. Each piece is handcrafted in precious metals, often incorporating native Australian gemstones, to create jewellery that is both wearable and evocative of place and season.

Emily’s artistry has been recognised nationally and internationally. She was awarded Jeweller of the Year by the Jewellers Association of Australia in 2010 for her Precious Limb Bangle, which also received a Merit Award at the International Jewellery Design Excellence Awards in Hong Kong – the first Australian jeweller to be honoured at this level. In 2014, she received the acquisitive Premier’s Award for Excellence at the Tasmanian Craft Fair.

A fellow of the Gold & Silversmiths Guild of Australia and a member of the Jewellers Association of Australia, Emily’s credentials reflect her unwavering commitment to quality, skill, and design. With every creation, she continues to push the boundaries of traditional craftsmanship while honouring the beauty of Tasmania’s unique natural environment.
