Ikecho Australia

Founded in 1999 by Erica Miller, Ikecho Australia is a Newtown, Sydney–based jewellery house known for timeless design, authentic materials, and meticulous craftsmanship. Specialising in pearls and opals, Ikecho creates pieces that celebrate individuality and natural beauty—bringing modern sophistication to both everyday wear and special occasions.

From the outset, Erica set out to redefine perceptions of pearls in Australia. Ikecho pioneered the importation of natural pink freshwater pearls, offering the elegance of pearls without the traditional price tag. The brand’s Edison Collection—admired for its visual kinship with South Sea pearls—has remained a customer favourite, reflecting Ikecho’s blend of quality, value, and contemporary style.

In late 2017, Ikecho expanded into Solid Australian Opals, sourcing Solid Black and Boulder Opals from Erica’s family mines in Lightning Ridge (NSW) and Winton (QLD). Today, the house designs striking pieces that pair the mesmerising play-of-colour of Australian opals with the luminosity of Australian South Sea pearls—each piece as individual as its wearer.

Ikecho partners with pearl farms around the world to offer a diverse array of South Sea, Tahitian, Akoya, Mabe, and Freshwater pearls, alongside Boulder and Solid opals – from quiet, classic elegance or statement pieces with presence. Settings span 9, 14, and 18-carat gold and sterling silver, crafted in small batches with an emphasis on thoughtful design, enduring materials, and a refined finish.

Guided by Erica’s vision for affordable luxury and timeless style, Ikecho continues to honour its origins while evolving with contemporary tastes. The result is jewellery designed to complement each person’s unique journey—bringing elegance and sophistication to every women’s wardrobe.
