Victoria Buckley

Victoria Buckley creates precious gold and gemstone jewellery, all designed and made in Australia. For over thirty years, her romantic and soulful jewels have captured the imagination of clients drawn to designs inspired by myth, magic, poetry, and timeless beauty.

Victoria first fell under the spell of engraved words on gold when she encountered the historic tradition of Posy rings at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London in 1992. This discovery sparked an enduring passion for creating powerfully meaningful talismans, a passion that continues to shape her work today. Self-taught in her early years, she sold her first collection at Sydney’s Paddington Markets in the 1990s, drawing on medieval motifs and personalised inscriptions that resonated deeply with wearers. Her journey later led her to study hand engraving under internationally renowned master engraver Sam Alfano, refining her skill to the extraordinary level of detail she achieves today.

Her clients seek powerful yet subtle statement pieces — delicately refined, intricately hand-engraved, and imbued with the imaginative spirit of the maker herself. From engagement and wedding jewellery to opulent cocktail rings and gem-set pendants, every design is crafted to stand the test of time. Working under a high-powered microscope, Victoria meticulously carves each engraving by hand, producing heirloom treasures that carry true meaning for their owners.

Inspired by forgotten fairytales and dreams of undiscovered places, Victoria’s creations exist outside of time, defined only by their moody, romantic beauty. Every piece is made using fair-traded Australian gold and ethically sourced gemstones in her Sydney studio.

Victoria treasures the privilege of being part of her clients’ life journeys, creating jewellery that is not only worn but lived in, loved, and passed down for generations.
